Doug Wells | Trumpet

Home

Doug Wells is a freelance trumpet player with hundreds of gigs to his name. Highlights of the last twelve months include sessions with the legendary Bristol group The Zen Hussies, playing on the tour of MTVs 'Brand New For 2018' nominee Bad Sounds and the exciting Bath horn-based group Horning Glory, as well as playing in the new Bristol big band sensation, Double Time Big Band. He is also a founding member of the jazz/funk band Bear Pak (formerly George and the Dragons), and has performed at Bristol's liveliest music venue The Gallimaufray, the famous Bristol floating venue Thekla and the historic 606 Club in London. Doug has held regular slots at Moles, Bath.

A graduate of the Bath Spa BA Music degree course Doug can be booked for session work and recording in a variety of styles ranging from jazz to classical, and is also available for teaching in the Bath/Bristol area.
